Level 4 - Stroke Improvement (Ages: 5+)

Objective: Improve swimming skills, increase endurance, refine strokes and learn back crawl, breaststroke, butterfly and sidestroke.

Requirements: Students entering this level must possess a Level 3 certificate or demonstrate all the Level 3 skills on day one of class.

Skills Taught: Developing confidence in the front and back crawl learned in previous levels, standing dive, feet-first surface dive and swim underwater, survival swim-1 min, tread water-2 min, front crawl and elementary backstroke 25 yd. each, back crawl, breaststroke, butterfly and sidestroke-15 yd. each

Course format: Classes run 30 minutes with 6 students per instructor
