School District 197 Youth Enrichment Community Education is pleased to partner with Advantage Educational Programs. For the past 26 years, Advantage Educational Programs benefited thousands of students in Minnesota by preparing them for the college entrance exams. They offer ACT Preparatory Courses in more than forty high schools in Minneapolis/St. Paul and the surrounding area. Online ACT Preparatory Course This course is an excellent alternative for any student unable to attend in-school classes or for a student preferring to prepare for the ACT exam on their own, and study at their desired pace. The fee for this course is $80, and you may repeat the course at no charge until you graduate from high school. The online course will allow students to log-in for the course and proceed at their own pace. The course will be using Google Classroom to present the online course and it will be equivalent to the 12 hour classroom time. The course will use instructors' videos, voice-overs, illustrations, and slides that guide you through all of the testing areas of the ACT. You will also be able to communicate with the instructor when you have questions or concerns. Students can make up any class they miss at other available class locations and may also REPEAT any of the ACT prep courses by requesting the Self-Paced ACT Prep Course at no additional charge. Students can attend any missed classes at TRHS when the course if offered again and may repeat the course at no charge. **If you are on free/reduced lunch please contact us for a scholarship. **You will need a gmail account to access the google classroom. Your student's isd197.org account that is managed by google will not work--ISD197 blocks access to google classrooms outside the 197 domain.
