Learn Cursive Writing

Cursive writing is a style of handwriting in which the letters are connected to one another in a flowing manner, rather than being written separately like print letters.

Students in grades 5–8 often learn cursive to:

  • Write more quickly and smoothly.
  • Improve handwriting skills.
  • Read historical documents, letters, and signatures written in cursive.
  • Develop fine motor control and hand coordination.

You will Learn:

  • Practice tracing cursive letters.
  • Connecting letters into words.
  • Writing sentences and paragraphs in cursive.
  • Exercises to improve neatness and speed.

One practical use of cursive is creating a personal signature, which many adults use for documents and forms.
