Somerset: Engineering for Kids Junior STEM Club Session 1 (Grades: K-4)
Calling all future engineers! It’s time to develop your critical thinking, problem solving and collaboration skills through engineering disciplines.
Jump into an exciting new school year with all-new lessons! Whether you're a new or returning student, the Engineering For Kids Jr. Engineering/STEM Club offers hands-on, engaging activities each week to spark curiosity and creativity. Students will explore engineering concepts while developing essential 21st-century skills like problem-solving, critical thinking, and teamwork—building confidence to tackle challenges in and out of the classroom.

Students learn about the science of flight and design their own glider. |
Acoustic Engineering |
Students explore how sound travels by creating and testing their own string telephone. |
Mechanical Engineering |
Students explore potential and kinetic energy as they design and build a simple pyramid-style slingshot. |
Coding Unplugged: Binary Bracelets |
Students learn how information is represented so that computers can interpret and store it, then create a simple binary bracelet. |
