Mendota: Engineering for Kids Junior STEM Club (Grades: K-4)
Calling all future engineers! It’s time to develop your critical thinking, problem solving and collaboration skills through engineering disciplines.
Jump into an exciting new school year with all-new lessons! Whether you're a new or returning student, the Engineering For Kids Jr. Engineering/STEM Club offers hands-on, engaging activities each week to spark curiosity and creativity. Students will explore engineering concepts while developing essential 21st-century skills like problem-solving, critical thinking, and teamwork—building confidence to tackle challenges in and out of the classroom.

Chemical Engineering |
Students experiment with different materials to create a bubbling, chemical-reaction-powered witch’s brew. |
Mechanical Engineering |
Students get a hands-on lesson in air-powered thrust and inertia as they design and test a propeller-driven car. |

Students learn about the importance of coral reefs and design their own |
Mechanical Engineering Spinner |
Students build their own spinning toy and learn how momentum keeps a rotating object in motion. |
| Electrical Engineering Light It Up |
Students explore basic circuits by building a simple LED-powered light-up toy. |
Civil Engineering |
Students are challenged to design and build a sturdy, non-edible gingerbread |
