Garlough: Engineering for Kids Junior STEM Club (Grades: K-4)

Calling all future engineers! It’s time to develop your critical thinking, problem solving and collaboration skills through engineering disciplines.

Jump into an exciting new school year with all-new lessons! Whether you're a new or returning student, the Engineering For Kids Jr. Engineering/STEM Club offers hands-on, engaging activities each week to spark curiosity and creativity. Students will explore engineering concepts while developing essential 21st-century skills like problem-solving, critical thinking, and teamwork—building confidence to tackle challenges in and out of the classroom.

Aerospace Engineering
Stunt Plane
Students learn about the science of flight and design their own glider.

Acoustic Engineering
String Telephone

Students explore how sound travels by creating and testing their own string telephone.

Mechanical Engineering
Pyramid Slingshot

Students explore potential and kinetic energy as they design and build a simple pyramid-style slingshot.

Coding Unplugged: Binary Bracelets

Students learn how information is represented so that computers can interpret and store it, then create a simple binary bracelet.
