Heritage: Co-ed Flag Football with DASH Sports (Grades: 5-8)
Co-ed Flag Football: DASH Sports flag football camps provide players with a well-rounded football experience in a little to no contact safe environment. Key elements of passing, catching, rushing, and defense will be taught and practiced, and players will be grouped and challenged at an appropriate level in a fun, positive environment while learning values of ‘Respect, Hustle, and Pride’. Camp ends with a scrimmage on the final day. Athletes should bring a water bottle (spikes/cleats and mouthguards are optional). Footballs and flag belts are provided. Heritage: ASL 1: Beginner American Sign Language Class (Grades: 5-8)
ASL 1: ASL, American Sign Language, is used in the United States and Canada. There are future career opportunities related to ASL as well as personal enrichment when learning a new language. The alphabet, greetings, foods, animals and other engaging themed vocabulary will be covered. Taught by: Suzanne Downs--Parent of a daughter who is deaf and a retired Deaf/Hard of Hearing school teacher. She has taught ASL at the high school, middle school, and community education level. Her belief is that the more people who know sign language, the better! -
Intro to Musical Theatre (Grades: 5-8)
Interested in musicals? Drama? All things theatre? Then this class is for you! Come learn the basics of musical theatre, from auditioning to performing a song and dance, you will learn what it takes to be on stage. Not only will you learn a wide range of theatrical skills but also every day tips in public speaking, confidence and teamwork. Theatre is more than just saying lines and singing a song. Friendly Hills: Disc Golf (Grade 5-8)
Disc Golf 101 is an introductory course for students who want to learn more about the game of disc golf or even improve their skills on the courses. We have a limited number of discs available for kids to use during the class, they will not be available to take home, only for use during the class time. When you register for the class, please choose the -BYOD section if your student will have their own discs to bring on class days. Parlez-vous francais? (Grades: 5-8)
Join me on a virtual trip to Paris, France! We will learn about some of the most famous places to visit. As we explore the city, we will learn basic greetings and simple conversations. Next, we will virtually take the TGV to Toulon, in the south of France. We will watch un film francais, listen to la musique pop de la France, and learn how to make French beignets/doughnuts. Heritage: Soft Pastel Exploration (Grades 5-8)
