School District 197 Youth Enrichment Community Education is pleased to partner with Advantage Educational Programs. For the past 26 years, Advantage Educational Programs benefited thousands of students in Minnesota by preparing them for the college entrance exams. They offer ACT Preparatory Courses in more than forty high schools in Minneapolis/St. Paul and the surrounding area. Online ACT Preparatory Course This course is an excellent alternative for any student unable to attend in-school classes or for a student preferring to prepare for the ACT exam on their own, and study at their desired pace. The fee for this course is $80, and you may repeat the course at no charge until you graduate from high school. The online course will allow students to log-in for the course and proceed at their own pace. The course will be using Google Classroom to present the online course and it will be equivalent to the 12 hour classroom time. The course will use instructors' videos, voice-overs, illustrations, and slides that guide you through all of the testing areas of the ACT. You will also be able to communicate with the instructor when you have questions or concerns. Students can make up any class they miss at other available class locations and may also REPEAT any of the ACT prep courses by requesting the Self-Paced ACT Prep Course at no additional charge. Students can attend any missed classes at TRHS when the course if offered again and may repeat the course at no charge. **If you are on free/reduced lunch please contact us for a scholarship. **You will need a gmail account to access the google classroom. Young engineers, big ocean adventures! Spend a week exploring the wonders of the shore with hands-on STEM fun—all indoors! Dig for fossils, make squishy sand slime, craft coral reefs, explore tide pools, and uncover hidden ocean treasures. Every activity is playful, hands-on, and full of adventure for young ocean explorers! Taught by Engineering for Kids

Join our music teacher after school for a fun new choir class! Students will learn songs, practice their singing skills, and make music together with friends. The session will wrap up with a special performance for families!

Flag Football DASH Sports Summer Flag Football camps provide players with a well-rounded football experience in a little to no contact safe environment. Key elements of passing, catching, rushing, and defense will be taught and practiced daily, and players will be grouped and challenged at an appropriate level in a fun, positive environment while learning values of ‘Respect, Hustle, and Pride’. Camp ends with scrimmages/games the final day where players can showcase their skills. Athletes should bring a water bottle (spikes/cleats, and mouthguards are optional). Flag belts, and football are provided. Flag Football Tykes DASH Sports flag football Tykes camps provide players with an introductory experience to the great game of football in a little to no contact safe environment. Key elements of passing, catching, rushing, and defense will be taught and practiced. Fun, skill-based games will be played to practice newly learned skills. Athletes should bring a water bottle (spikes/cleats are optional). Footballs and flag belts are provided. Parent participation is required for the 2-3 yr old age group and recommended when needed for the 4+ year old age group.

Sample lots of different kinds of art in this fun and creative camp. We’ll use paper mâché, clay, canvas, chalk, paint and more to create some fabulous art. Make a paper mâché bowl, sculpt cute owls and silly animals, paint a colorful canvas, make some 3D birds with fancy feathers and more. Bring a beverage and a nut-free snack. Register early, this camp is sure to fill quickly.

Join us at Inver Wood Golf Course for Warriors Youth Golf Camp this summer! Improve your golf skills and have fun! Beginner: Whether you’ve never held a club or you're just looking to stop hitting the grass more than the ball, a beginner golf camp is the perfect low-pressure entry point into the sport. These programs trade stuffy traditions for high-energy drills, focusing on the fundamental "building blocks" of the game: grip, stance, and swing mechanics. Under the guidance of Coach Schwister and volunteers, you’ll navigate everything from the finesse of the putting green to the raw power of the driving range. It’s less about shooting a perfect score and more about building confidence, learning etiquette, and—most importantly—realizing that everyone looks a little bit silly when they’re first starting out. Cheer DASH Sports Summer Cheer camps provide athletes with an introduction to cheerleading. Campers will learn several cheers with focus on body control, jumping, and proper hand movements. Emphasis will be placed on sportsmanship, teamwork, and a positive attitude! Cheer participants will showcase their skills on our final day of camp on the sidelines of our flag football games. Whether you're new or experienced, this is the perfect way to explore competitive coding. No previous coding experience is necessary. Our Rec Team will practice on real obstacles inspired by the tv show such as warped walls, salmon ladders, tilting ladders and so much more during their weekly practice. Rec Team members will learn the styles and techniques to develop their Ninja Skills with over 40 different obstacles! This 8 weeklong Rec Team consists of 6 practices and 2 competitions (week 4 and week 8).
