197 ACT Prep Online/Curso preparatorio ACT en línea (Grades: 9-12)High School ClassesOnline ACT Prep Course: self-paced, ideal if you can’t attend class. The online course will allow students to log-in for the course and proceed at their own pace. The course will be using Google Classroom to present the online course and it will be equivalent to the 12 hour classroom time. The course will use instructors' videos, voice-overs, illustrations, and slides that guide you through all of the testing areas of the ACT. Join Dodge naturalists to explore the nature center and learn all about the critters that call the nature center home through hands on activities and up-close encounters with live animals. Whether they slither hop or crawl, come learn about them all! Location and time: All classes will start and end at Garlough where students will be checked in and checked out of the class. The Dodge Naturalist will leave from Garlough at 2:15 p.m. to walk students to the Nature Center where classes will be held at the Farm Education Building. At 3:15 p.m. the students will walk back with the Naturalist to Garlough where parents will pick them up by 3:30 p.m in the lobby area or they will join SAC if enrolled in the program. Through Futura’s dynamic and interactive approach, students will practice useful Spanish expressions in fun, real-life contexts. Lets go with Traditions and Celebretions- in SPANISH!Celebrate the seasons in Spanish with Vamos con las Tradiciones y Celebraciones. Through songs, games, and festive cultural traditions, students build Spanish vocabulary and gain confidence using simple conversations. Starting SoonGarlough: ROCC Climbers Leadership Program (Grade 4)Garlough EnrichmentROCC Climbers — OverviewROCC Climbers is an after-school and out-of-school leadership program for youth of color grade 4th graders at GEMS. The program’s mission is to empower youth to “climb higher, lead boldly, and build a future they believe in” through mentorship, community, and hands-on leadership. Participation includes roughly 10-15 youths weekly, giving consistent community and support to each other. A Quick Note before Registering:This is a structured, progressive program rather than a drop-in class. Because each session builds on the last, we ask that you commit to attending the full series. Heritage: ASL 1: Beginner American Sign Language Class (Grades: 5-8)Heritage EnrichmentASL 1: ASL, American Sign Language, is used in the United States and Canada. There are future career opportunities related to ASL as well as personal enrichment when learning a new language. The alphabet, greetings, foods, animals and other engaging themed vocabulary will be covered.
