ROCC--Residents of Color Collective is offering their program ROCC Climbers for All Youth at Heritage. ROCC Climbers — Overview ROCC Climbers is an after-school and out-of-school leadership program for youth of color grades 5th-8th. The program’s mission is to empower youth to “climb higher, lead boldly, and build a future they believe in” through mentorship, community, and hands-on leadership. Participation includes roughly 10-15 youths weekly, giving consistent community and support. Learning, Leadership & STEAM-style Engagement ROCC Climbers is a youth leadership and enrichment program designed to empower youth of color through community, hands-on learning, and real-world experiences. Participants engage in outdoor adventures, leadership development, and STEAM-style activities that blend Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math. Impact & Values The program aims to build confidence, cultivate a sense of belonging, and offer meaningful opportunities for youth of color to connect with their community and environment. One of the key successes is seeing young people not only enjoy nature and adventure but also grow as leaders and caretakers of their land and communities. Age Group Target Grades: 5-8

Arrival at the marina in Hudson Wisconsin to board an Afton Cruise Lines Vessel. Depart from the dock for a cruise on the St. Croix River aboard the Afton Princes or Grand Duchess. Enjoy a boat ride along the shores of Minnesota and Wisconsin on the Scenic St. Croix River with a professional licensed Captain and Crew. The scenery is beautiful every season. View the rugged landscapes, majestic views, woodlands and wildlife. On board luncheon menu: Chicken Marsala, Mostaccoli Pasta with Red Sauce, Hot Vegetables, Caesar Salad, Italian Cold Pasta Salad, Chef’s Choice Dessert, Ice Water and Coffee. There is a cash bar. Downtown Hudson to shop. Browse through the unique and eclectic independently owned shops in the historic downtown area and up on the hill. Be sure to visit the Knoke’s Chocolates and Nuts Store. PLEASE Note: Water levels will determine the incline of the gangplank from the pier to the boat. Guests will be expected to walk about 3 blocks and manage narrow gangplanks to board and disembark from the boat. Walkers and collapsible wheelchairs will fit under the coach.
